Facilities and Services
Northumbria University provides students with access to outstanding facilities for both study, research and leisure. The huge levels of investment in recent years have created state-of-the-art facilities in a picturesque setting in Newcastle’s vibrant city environment.
Students can access modern laboratories, workshops, CAD suites, media labs and modern classrooms with all the necessary IT facilities to support students with the tools they need to achieve the best education possible. Furthermore, a 24/7 library provides access to learning facilities at any time of the day, with the award-winning building holding the UK Government Service Excellence (CSE) standard since 2010.
Away from the classroom, there is modern city centre accommodation with various choices for students, and a number of huge sports centres for every level of fitness. The sports facilities around campus include fitness centres, squash courts, a sprint track, swimming pool and a number of high-quality outdoor pitches. The main Sport Central arena can hold up to 3,000 spectators.
