The Royal College of Art started life in 1837 as the Government School of Design; the College is located in Kensington Gore, London. The College offers MA, M.Phil and PhD degrees. The various departments include animation, architecture, ceramics and glass, communication art and design, conservation, curating contemporary art, design interactions, design products, fashion menswear, fashion women wear, jewelry, history of design, industrial design engineering, painting, photography, printmaking, sculptures, textiles, vehicle design, and film and television.
