About
Buckinghamshire New University
Buckinghamshire New University (Bucks) is proud to have celebrated 125 years of learning in 2017. Bucks focuses on degrees that are professional and practical, as well as academic. Its vibrant, modern and friendly campuses in High Wycombe, Uxbridge and Aylesbury are all within easy reach of London, Oxford and international airports.
From nursing to pilot training, or business management to sports therapy, these are just some of the careers Bucks could help prepare you for. The University also offers foundation year programmes as well as a range of undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications. Courses are offered through a range of attendance methods, including full-time, part-time and online, allowing you to fit your studies around your personal and professional commitments.
Studying at university isn’t all about gaining a qualification though. It’s about new friends, new connections, and new experiences. Thanks to huge investment in its facilities, Bucks hosts an on-site gym, impressive Gateway Library, and places to eat, drink and meet up with friends.
The Bucks Students’ Union was also ranked in the top 10 of 137 institutions for satisfaction of taught students in the 2016-17 National Student Survey. There are lots of opportunities for students to get involved in outside their course, such as clubs, societies, events, volunteering and skills workshops.
Bucks also guarantees an accommodation place in the High Wycombe halls of residence for first-year international students so you’ll feel at home and settle into UK life quickly and easily.
