About
University of Northern British Columbia
The University of Northern British Columbia - UNBC is one of Canada’s best small universities. The origins of the University go to 1987 when meetings were organised to consider the feasibility of a full-fledged university in the North. By 1990, plans were formulated, and in 1994, Queen Elizabeth II formally inaugurated the University. In June 2015, UNBC celebrates its 25th anniversary and reinforces its promise to offer high-quality and affordable education to its students. Undergraduate and postgraduate programs are offered in the Arts, Medicine, Sciences, Social Work and Fine Arts.
