About
Humber College
Since 1967, Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning has been one of the most successful leaders in postsecondary education in Canada. All of the qualifications on offer at the institution are career-focused, with emphasis on hands-on learning, making it a seamless transition from education to industry as students get a real understanding of what it feels like to be in the workplace.
The College boasts a welcoming, diverse campus community of over 31,000 students that includes more than 6000 international students from 130 different countries. Humber offers bachelor’s degrees, diplomas, and postgraduate certificates in 180 programs on two main campuses in Toronto.
Small class sizes, with tutors and faculty who are experts in their field, mean that students get the individualised attention they need to succeed not only in their degree programme – but in their career too. In fact, 83% of Humber students are employed within 6 months of graduating from their degree.
To help students with their integration into the College, Humber has introduced a buddy programme. This allows first-year students to be matched up with a more senior student mentor that can give them crucial information about Humber, and tips on how to get the most out of their time at the institution.
There are a number of clubs and organisations for students at Humber, including 19 different varsity sport teams – meaning students will always have something to keep them busy outside of their study time. There is also a dedicated careers service, which offers students support in their search for a job with CV reviews, career counselling and its own job portal. The College also offers counselling services, learning workshops and a variety of recreation opportunities for its students.

Facilities and Services
Living in residence will undoubtedly be one of the most memorable and rewarding times of students’ life. It will provide them with the opportunity to learn, grow and challenge themselves outside the classroom.
Humber's North Campus has two residence buildings available to students, including:
Traditional Single Rooms
The traditional single style rooms are private rooms with centrally located washrooms and lounges. Some floors have single gender washrooms, others are co-ed style.
A great choice for first year students as these private rooms provide their own personal space, while still encouraging friendships and connections among students in this community living environment.
Study floors and other themed floors are available to cater to the students’ preferences.
Suite Style
The North Residence has 143 suites which can accommodate 286 residents. Suites at the North Campus are generally reserved for returning residents, but first year students are given the opportunity to place themselves on the suite waitlist in their initial application.
The Lakeshore Residence has 213 Suites which can accommodate 425 residents. Suites are fully furnished and contain two bedrooms which share a kitchenette and washroom.
