About
Curtin University
Curtin University is the largest university in Western Australia, welcoming more than 56,000 students, around a quarter of whom come from a country other than Australia. Its growing international reputation has seen it rise up in the international university global rankings in recent years. It’s now ranked in the top one per cent of universities in the world in the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities 2017.
Curtin’s global footprint is expanding, with campuses in Perth, Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai and Mauritius, and course delivery through more than 90 partner institutions worldwide. The Bentley Campus in Perth is located just six kilometres from Perth CBD. Perth is ranked in the top ten most liveable cities in the world. It is a picturesque and safe city with a low crime rate, and is one of the most affordable cities in Australia.
At Curtin, students study undergraduate and postgraduate courses within technology-rich learning environments that recreate real workplaces, enhancing their studies and giving them the practical experience they need before they graduate.
They can gain work experience through internships with industry and by working on real-world projects as part of their course. Some students choose to study part of their course in a different country or Curtin campus, adding a global dimension to their degree.
At the Bentley Campus, there is a sense of community both in and out of the classroom, with collaborative learning spaces, outdoor leisure areas and games to enjoy in-between classes. Clubs and societies offer students opportunities to get involved, gain new experiences, meet new friends and add skills to their CV.
Students have access to a number of support services including health services, a childcare service, housing services and additional learning support. Other facilities include a sports centre, an art gallery, a modern library, study spaces, an on-site bookshop, and plenty of food and drink outlets.
