About
The Australian National University
Ranked as Australia’s number one university, and number 20 in the world (QS World University Rankings 2017-18), the Australian National University (ANU) is recognised worldwide for its high teaching standards and outstanding research quality.
With small class sizes and a high staff-to-student ratio, ANU students enjoy unparalleled access to their tutors and lecturers, who are world leaders in their fields. Students can choose from a wide variety of degree options; all designed so they can tailor their studies to suit their strengths, passions, and career options.
Coming in at number one in Australia and at 21 worldwide for graduate employability (Global University Employability Ranking 2017), ANU students stand out to employers. And it is no surprise that ANU ranks so highly; the University takes great pride in making sure its students are job-ready when they graduate, and encourages them to make the most of its industry contacts by getting involved with work experience and internship opportunities.
A member of the prestigious International Alliance of Research Universities, ANU stands alongside institutions like Oxford, Cambridge and Yale. A huge 95 per cent of research that takes place at ANU is recognised as above or well above world standard, positioning the University to take on the challenges facing the world today and into the future, with the aim to change society for the better.
Famed for its inclusive campus, ANU (CRICOS Provider Number 00120C) is number one in Australia and number seven in the world for its international outlook, meaning that its 7,000+ overseas students feel welcome throughout their stay.
