Overview The Mechanical Engineering Design with Management MSc aims to develop student’s academic knowledge and technical engineering skills with the integration of creative, problem-solving design elements within a business context. Mechanical Engineering Design incorporates designing complex systems in order to develop and evaluate the design’s performance using technical engineering knowledge and skills, with the aim to continuously improve the product and manufacturing techniques. Mechanical Engineering Designers are responsible for the design process including the concept of designs, analysis of existing products, production of prototypes for product testing and identification of new systems, processes and feasibility to drive quality, efficiency and save costs. Mechanical Design Engineers are in demand by employers as they embrace challenges, can solve problems effectively, have strong technical knowledge as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. BEng Aerospace, Mechanical or Civil Engineering Graduates from University of Liverpool are not eligible for this programme. This MSc will enable you to develop your knowledge and technical skills by combining the numerical, analytical and scientific principles of Mechanical Engineering Design with an in-depth understanding of management and business acumen to Master’s degree level. A post graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering Design with Management is the basis for a career in a profession that offers an extremely wide choice of employment opportunities in both mechanical engineering design and related sectors. For international students

A UK 2:1 or equivalent undergraduate degree is usually required, but students graduating from a UK university with a high 2:2 degree can be considered on a case by case basis. This should be in Engineering or Science with appropriate knowledge of core mechanical engineering science topics at undergraduate degree level. IELTS: Overall IELTS 6.5, no less than 6.0 in component scores. TOEFL iBT: 88 or above with minimum scores in components as follows: Listening and Writing 19, Reading 19, Speaking 20.

The University of Liverpool Management School is delighted to offer a range of generous scholarships and study awards to help cover the cost of MSc tuition fees. Open to: Home/EU/OSI applicants to all Liverpool campus-based Management School MSc programmes. Candidates are considered for this award based on their academic excellence, CV and personal statement. Applicants must hold, or be on track to obtain, at least a high 2:1 (65+%) in their undergraduate degree, including marks of 60+% in modules relevant to their MSc programme. Work experience relevant to the programme (paid, internship, shadowing or voluntary positions) would be advantageous, as would previously studying at a highly ranked university. Multiple awards available.

The University of Liverpool Management School is delighted to offer range of generous scholarships and study awards to help cover the cost of MBA tuition fees. Open to: Offered to HEU applicants for on-campus Management School MSc Programmes who have the equivalent of a 1st class degree. Applicants being part-funded by employers will receive the award. If you are a Home/EU student with the equivalent of a 1st class degree, you will also be eligible for an ULMS Academic award. For eligible applicants to campus-based programmes, this will automatically be combined with the ULMS Academic Award. This award can be combined with any centrally-awarded funding that the applicant is eligible for.
