For many of the jobs in such companies, it is important to have both a solid grounding in research and industry standards and a strong understanding of the business side of these vibrant industries. You will learn about modern marketing practices relating to search, mobile campaigns, online publishing, content strategy, crowding, digital planning and strategy, and how to apply these in a biotechnology industry. This course integrates the latest biological research and business to give you the knowledge and skills you need to forge your career in the biotech and biopharmaceutical arena. The course content reflects the strong and longstanding links the University has with businesses in this field. The knowledge and skills you’ll develop in research will be supplemented by the business acumen you’ll gain through our business modules and the entrepreneurship elements of the course. This course provides the framework which can set you on the path to careers embracing options such as clinical trial coordination, regulatory affairs, marketing, management, commercial practice and entrepreneurship. Our graduates can expect to work in small and large multinational companies in the biosciences sphere, or to continue in academic research. You’ll be able to make use of the University's dedicated careers service to help you to confidently present yourself to the world's top employers.
