About
The University of Brighton is a public university spread across four campuses in Brighton and Eastbourne in the UK, offering over 200 programmes in subjects ranging from illustration to engineering. The University holds many accolades, including the TEF Silver Award, which recognises its high-quality teaching.
Throughout their time at the institution, students have the chance to undertake work placements on their course to gain practical experience in the industry of their choice. This has resulted in 94.4% of graduates going on to find work within six months of graduating (DLHE). Students also benefit from a dedicated careers service, which offers everything from one-to-one guidance with an advisor, to help with writing a stand-out CV and cover letter.
There are over 60 sports clubs and more than 100 student societies on offer at the University, and students are encouraged to get involved in some to meet new friends, pursue their interests and gain a new skill for their CV. There is also the option of starting their own society.
It is important to the institution that all students feel happy and safe during their time learning, and are well looked after with a range of support services. These include a confidential counselling team, LGBTQ+ support, access to study tutors, information on health and wellbeing and a dedicated service for those with a disability or special need.
During their degree, students can apply to study abroad at an exchange university. This is an ideal way for them to learn about a new culture, experience life in another country and gain confidence while facing new challenges.
