Overview The MA in Technical Communication and E-Learning focuses on online content development for technical and professional communication, and e-learning. UL has run programmes in technical communication and instructional design for over 20 years. This MA programme equips graduates with the skills to design and develop multimedia content and technology-enhanced learning solutions. This MA programme won the Grad Ireland Best Postgraduate Course (Arts and Humanities) in 2018 and 2019. The judges observed that the programme is “engaged and responsive” and exceeds students’ expectations. On successful completion of the programme, graduates can: Write clear, correct, precise content for a variety of media. Communicate effectively in online and face-to-face environments. Apply pedagogical principles to the design of e-learning content. Apply accessibility, information design, and usability best practices to the design of online content. Analyse trends in communication and e-learning. Use applications to design and deliver content for a variety of media. Deploy and use learning and collaboration technologies. Manage complex writing and design projects. Evaluate e-learning tools and online programmes.
