An honours bachelor's degree in Economics, or the equivalent, is required for admission to the master's program. An average of at least "B" (70%) is required in the honours undergraduate program. Note that the admission to the MA program is based on a competitive process and that a "B" average does not guarantee admission. Applicants may, in some cases, be admitted to a qualifying program designed to bring their knowledge to the level required to pursue a master's in Economics. To proceed to the master's level, a new application must be submitted. If admitted, students will receive an offer to the Masters course based option. To be eligible to the Masters program with Major Research Paper option, students must i) successfully complete at least three courses in their first term in the program, of which two must be compulsory courses, with a minimum average of A- (8.0), or in exceptional cases, ii) obtain permission of the supervisor of the MA program.
