Neuroscience provides training for students interested in the integrative functioning of the mind and brain. Students are given specific research and course training in their research field and are exposed to broader interdisciplinary research through the Research Seminar in Neuroscience and Applied Cognitive Science. The practicum is a unique feature that provides students with additional specific training in a research laboratory, hospital, government agency, or non-government agency. Research Areas Include: Basic Cognitive Processes Behavioural Neuroscience Cognitive Ergonomics Cognitive Neuroscience Developmental and Life-Span Cognition Evolution and Behaviour Foundations of Cognitive Science ARE YOU INTERESTED IN: Attention, Emotion, Learning, or Memory Evolution and Behaviour Addiction and Sickness Applied Cognition, such as Driving Behaviour or Economic/Political Decision Making Career Opportunities: Academic or non-academic (hospital, industry, etc.) Science Policy Advisor Government or NGO contractor

For international students

Students who enter a Master’s will normally have a Bachelor’s or Honours degree in Psychology (or related field). English Language Proficiency Canadian Academic English Language Test (CAEL) - 70 International English Language Testing System (Academic) (IELTS) - 6.5 Duolingo English Test (DET) - 120 Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE-A) Note: A minimum score of 60 must be achieved in each individual component - 60 Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT)) Note: A minimum score of 21 must be achieved in each of the four categories (listening, speaking, reading, writing) – 89
