Careers & future study Graduate opportunities The Graduate Certificate in Data Science provides a pathway into the Master of Data Science for students who non-quantitative Bachelor’s degrees. The training it provides also supports several career paths, by: honing data skills at the frontier of machine intelligence research to become a data scientist for hire; upskilling to build intelligent data-driven systems in an existing area of expertise (e.g., mining analyst); improving scientific research through training in data management, analysis, and modelling.

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have: a three year Australian bachelor's degree in a cognate discipline that demonstrates a background in computer programming and statistics with a minimum average of 60 percent. IELTS score: A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing Pearsons Test of English: A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
