The Master of Professional Engineering (Accelerated) is the ideal two-year full-time degree for those engineers who have previously graduated with an undergraduate engineering degree in a related field seeking recognised accreditation to practice in Australia and overseas. The chemical and biomolecular specialisation explores industrial processes in which material in bulk undergoes physical of chemical changes. This accelerated version of our Master of Professional Engineering degree is designed to provide you with deep technical skills in your chosen field of engineering combined with professional development in the areas of communication, leadership, and time and resource management. It will also help you develop the sound communication, management and decision-making capabilities necessary to interpret and discuss complex issues in your area of specialisation. The program will provide you with the engineering professional practice and research skills that lead to recognition as an Australian graduate engineer. Career Pathways Engineers working in this field may specialise as combustion engineers, petroleum engineers, chemical engineers, smelting engineers, water treatment engineers or environmental engineers. There is also scope for chemical and biomolecular engineers to move into related areas including biotechnology, food engineering and mineral engineering. Students completing a Master of Professional Engineering program with excellent average marks are eligible to undertake supervised research in the degree of Master of Philosophy or Doctor of Philosophy.

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have: an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree with a 65 percent average, or equivalent qualification, in a related field of engineering to which the student is applying. IELTS score: A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing Pearsons Test of English: A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
