This dual program provides you with a focused background in economic theories and business management principles, along with the in-depth knowledge of a mathematics program. The Bachelor of Business Management will allow you to develop core business skills. You can then build on these by selecting specialist areas of study including leadership and management science, innovation and entrepreneurship, business economics, business information systems, human resources, international business and marketing. In the Bachelor of Mathematics, you'll choose to develop a comprehensive specialised knowledge in one field of mathematics or a high level of sophistication in the applications of mathematics. You can then use your knowledge in sectors of the economy beyond the traditional areas of engineering and the physical sciences, such as finance, economics, information technology and molecular biology. You'll graduate with skills that are in high demand and you'll be ready to take a leadership role across an array of industries. Mathematical Physics This major focuses on the mathematical foundations of modern physical theories. It also examines the mathematical understanding that underpins a broad range of contemporary sciences, including statistical mechanics, relativity and quantum theory. You'll learn how to understand and describe nature at its most fundamental levels. This major not only prepares you for research in mathematical physics and related disciplines, but also fosters creativity and develops high-level skills in critical and analytical thinking, which are paramount in problem-solving.

Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C); Mathematical Methods (Units 3 & 4, C). English Proficiency IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19. TOEFL PB - Overall 570, listening 54, reading 54, writing 59/5. Pearsons - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands. BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills. CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands. OET is not accepted.
