As access to technologies increases in today’s classrooms, so too have the challenges of ensuring safe, ethical and appropriate use of technology.
This Melbourne MicroCert explores the concept of digital citizenship through explicit focus on the ethical dilemmas that arise when humans and technology interact.
Guided by leading practitioners from the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, you will learn to model and teach positive digital citizenship, including responsible use of digital technologies, online safety and digital health and wellbeing. You will explore strategies and scenarios for managing online student interactions, bullying, feedback, moderation and peer-to-peer learning in new and emerging digital environments, such as augmented reality and virtual reality.
Another focus will be developing critical frameworks for examining pedagogical and curriculum decisions related to teaching with digital technology, including concepts of identity, community, privacy, ownership and trust in digital spaces.
This Melbourne MicroCert is delivered fully online, offering a convenient way to advance your skillset, from a location that suits you.
