You will be guided through a series of workshops and collaborative exercises to develop a professional creative identity and a portfolio of work that demonstrates your creative dexterity. Learning outcomes On completion of this Melbourne MicroCert, you will be able to: Use of a range of methodologies for prompting creative thinking and creative outputs, which include precinct, locale and specialised safe environment/s Practice flexible and adaptive thinking skills demonstrated through a range of genre Innovate through independent and shared judgements Create a professional creative identity that can advocate new ideas and apply protocols for a sustained practice through resilience and bravery. Learning experience This Melbourne MicroCert features immersive online learning approaches and technologies, such as digital studios and breakout rooms for active discussion and collaboration. Within a safe community of practitioners, you will be encouraged to draw upon your own lived experience and develop a portfolio of work involving media such as: Film Soundscapes Performance Written journals Visual narratives. Workshop exercises may include: Guided conversations Collaborations and ensemble work Narrative, discussion and personal reflection Demonstrations, scenario building and role play Examination of case studies and examples Interactive and experiential workshop activities. Workload This Melbourne MicroCert is taught over four days, each day you will undertake a two-hour synchronous workshop and an additional eight hours of asynchronous guided learning. You will also undertake a further 12 hours of independent practical experimentation and 12 hours for assessment preparation. Pathways to further study Generating Creativity can be taken as a stand-alone Melbourne MicroCert, or you can complement it with any other Melbourne MicroCert in the Artful Communications suite, in whatever order you choose.
