For international students

Applicants must: 1. Present a relevant Bachelor Honours degree or international equivalent With a minimum grade of Second Class Honours - Upper (H2A); or an equivalent combination of qualifications, research publications and/or professional experience related to the field of study. 2. Have the written approval of an identified supervisor for the research project/thesis. 3. Provide: A detailed research proposal outlining your intended research, (applicants should seek guidance from the potential supervisor regarding length and content); Original evidence of all relevant academic qualifications and graduation documentation (with English translation as appropriate); An up-to-date CV including academic qualifications, work experience and research publications; At least two academic referee reports. English Language Requirements IELTS Academic and IELTS UKVI Academic [excluding One Skill Retake and IELTS Online] - Overall score of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band. TOEFL iBT Paper Edition and TOEFL iBT [excluding Paper Edition and Home Edition] - Overall score of 80 (Reading - 20; Writing - 20; Listening - 18; Speaking - 18). Cambridge C1 Advanced - Overall score of 176 minimum 169 in each band. PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI [excluding PTE Academic Online] - Overall score of 64 minimum 55 in each band.

The scholarship is available each year to a prospective ANU student who is: an international student. Dependents of the staff of diplomatic or consular missions are also eligible; and undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate studies at an institute which has an articulation agreement with the Colleges. Click here for the list of the Colleges' articulation partners; and enrolled/enrolling in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program in the Colleges. Selection The award of scholarships will be based on academic merit. A Committee will consider the marks achieved in academic courses relevant to studying science at the ANU. Any academic achievements you list in your application will also influence your ranking. As a guide, applicants with the equivalent of a High Distinction at ANU will be considered. However, as the scholarships are highly competitive a mark at this level does not guarantee a scholarship.
