The Master of Energy Change (Advanced) is a multi-disciplinary coursework and research degree which will provide you with both a strong basis in the fundamental areas related to energy change, as well as allowing you to undertake advanced courses and research in areas suited to your individual interests. A major key to addressing climate change is the need for a world-wide change to carbon-free forms of energy production. Our program brings together the wide-ranging expertise present at ANU to cover policy, legal, environmental and regulatory aspects of energy change, underpinned by a fundamental scientific and technical base. Employment Opportunities The need for energy change is well-established yet there are relatively few people with an effective overview or the multi-disciplinary skills needed to effectively contribute to this complex issue. Depending on the area of study and specialization our graduates find work in government, policy, scientific research, development and aid organizations, multi-national companies, and many other exciting fields. This progressive program is also a pathway to gain entry into a PhD. Learning Outcomes On completion of the program, graduates will have the skills and knowledge to: Demonstrate cognitive, technical and creative skills to investigate, analyze and synthesize complex information, problems, concepts and theories relating to energy Apply multi-disciplinary approaches to address complex real-world energy-related problems Demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge in subjects relevant to energy and climate change. Communicate effectively with colleagues, other professionals and the broader community using a range of communication media and tools Demonstrate knowledge of research methods and carry out research in the area of energy climate change and/or sustainability, and collate data into a thesis, Communicate own research work to peers and research scientists.

For international students

Applicants must present a Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of at least 5.5/7.0 with at least 8 courses in a cognate discipline, which must also have a minimum GPA of 5.5/7.0. The GPA requirement for this program must be met by both the program as a whole, as well as by the 8 courses in a cognate discipline. Where more than 8 cognate courses have been completed by the applicant, ANU will take the best 8 courses when assessing the cognate GPA. The GPA for a Bachelor program will be calculated from (i) a completed Bachelor degree using all grades and/or (ii) a completed Bachelor degree using all grades other than those from the last semester (or equivalent study period) of the Bachelor degree. The higher of the two calculations will be used as the basis for admission. English Language Requirements IELTS Academic and IELTS UKVI Academic [excluding One Skill Retake and IELTS Online] - Overall score of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band. TOEFL iBT Paper Edition and TOEFL iBT [excluding Paper Edition and Home Edition] - Overall score of 80 (Reading - 20; Writing - 20; Listening - 18; Speaking - 18). Cambridge C1 Advanced - Overall score of 176 minimum 169 in each band. PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI [excluding PTE Academic Online] - Overall score of 64 minimum 55 in each band.

Global Power Generation Australia Scholarship in The Hydrogen Economy

How to applay

During the scholarship period the awardee must: 1. Maintain enrolment in SCNC8021. 2. Actively conduct research under the guidance of their project supervisor. 3. Participate in and contribute to activities of the Hydrogen Economy research cluster of the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions (ICEDS).

Requierments

1. Applicants must be enrolled in the Master of Energy Change (Advanced) program or the Master of Energy Change program and eligible for transfer to the Master of Energy Change (Advanced ) 2. Applicants must have a suitable supervisor and meet conditions for enrolling into SCNC8021 Science Research Project (24 units over 2 semesters). 3. The research project approved by the supervisor must be in the field of the Hydrogen Economy (Click here) 4. Applicants must have achieved at least 70% average in the coursework component of the program. The scholarship provides a stipend of $10,000 for a period of 1 year. In addition, the scholarship provides $2,500 research support funds administrated by your project supervisor.
