It will then concentrate on the 20th century, the age of World Wars and the Cold War, before addressing contemporary issues, the age of global political economy, global culture and communication, global environmental concerns and post-Cold war political conflict, including the 'War on Terror'. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of a Bachelor of International Relations, graduates will be able to: Identify the principal theoretical approaches to the study of international relations, and the relationships between them; Have a thorough understanding of the historical development of the global system; Demonstrate an understanding of the principal actors in contemporary global politics and the challenges they face; Understand the principal factors that determine the foreign policies of major powers and of Australia; Reflect critically on the knowledge and skills developed in their study of International Relations.

Applicants who complete a recognised secondary/senior secondary/post-secondary/tertiary sequence of study will be assessed on the basis of an equivalent selection rank that is calculated upon application. English Language Requirements IELTS Academic and IELTS UKVI Academic [excluding One Skill Retake and IELTS Online] - Overall score of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band. TOEFL iBT [excluding Home Edition] - Overall score of 80 (Reading - 20; Writing - 20; Listening - 18; Speaking - 18). Cambridge C1 Advanced - Overall score of 176 minimum 169 in each band. PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI [excluding PTE Academic Online] - Overall score of 64 minimum 55 in each band.
