Ranked in the top 2% of universities worldwide, it offers 200 degree programs, many of which have been recognised for their excellence - Hospitality and Tourism Management has been ranked in the Top 2 worldwide, while subjects including Nursing and Law are ranked in the Top 50 (ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2018).
Degrees at Griffith University have an international focus, and are held in good stead almost everywhere in the world, but students wishing to expand their horizons don't have to wait until graduation to travel the world. The University offers them the chance to participate in overseas programs, both short and long term, which range from internships and placements to volunteering.
Students have the opportunity to choose elective subjects to help shape their program, allowing for them to expand their career options with a variety of skillsets by the time they graduate.
There are over 120 clubs and societies at Griffith University, covering everything from sports to specialist interests. Students are encouraged to get involved and meet new people while learning something new, develop an existing skill or pursue a passion.
Across the five campuses students have access to many state-of-the-art facilities, including Apple Mac computers, well-stocked libraries, book shops, food and drink outlets and convenience stores. There is even an Eco Centre at the Nathan campus, and an Aquatics and Fitness Centre at the Gold Coast campus, boasting an Olympic-sized swimming pool, two well-stocked gyms and a new training area.
