The University of Reading is rich in history. Established in 1892, it then received its Royal Charter in 1926 - giving it the power to award degrees. Throughout the years, the University has established itself as a place with great links to businesses and a reputation for research and quality of teaching.
It was recently ranked in the top 200 universities worldwide (QS World University Rankings 2018).
International students are within close proximity to London and will be among a community of more than 5,000 overseas students from over 140 countries. In order to help with fees and funding, the University of Reading offers Chevening Scholarships. The scholarship programme - which is funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office - has over 44,000 alumni around the world.
